Located in the beautiful small town of White Salmon and nestled in the bluffs overlooking the Columbia River, Wyers End is a “pocket neighborhood” crafted of closely-knit homes centered around common landscaped spaces that harbor a sense of community while providing convenient access to neighborhood resources and local amenities.
Pocket neighborhoods are created with the intent of building a living space for communities with shared public spaces and are meant to foster a sense of immersion in the outdoor environment through the use of common spaces such as walking trails, landscaped gardens, rockeries, and protected spaces.
Bell Design was able to harness a design philosophy of public area beautification by leveraging a close integration with the natural elegance of the Columbia Gorge environment found in White Salmon.
BDC embraces this esthetic in all of its engineering designs, and has benefited enormously from the lessons learned from numerous commercial, public and private projects in the unique and challenging landscapes of the region.
BDC was contracted to provide all project management, code compliance and geographical surveying, preliminary PUD plat submittals, stormwater abatement, NPDES permit application, utilities plan, grading, site plans, and plan-set approval for this significant community development project.
