Fairway Estates is a luxury community development project located on the Indian Creek Golf Course in Hood River, OR, with beautiful vista views of nearby Mount Hood and the Hood River Valley.
BDC was contracted to provide project management, code compliance and geographical surveying, preliminary PUD plat submittals, Stormwater Abatement, NPDES Permit Application, Utilities Plan, Grading, and site plans and plan set approval.
The project provided 7 unique home sites in the Hood River Area as well as improving and providing access to nearby Indian Creek Golf Course.
A bottomless fish passage creek crossing structure was needed in order to provide access to these lots while also avoiding local protected wetlands.
The project involved placing a 40' long by 4' wide arch span to support a new full-sized Hood River County Standards Public Road, necessary to cross Ferguson Creek.
The 1500 foot long paved roadway included guardrails, drainage swales, culverts, catch basins, full utilities and driveway crossings.
BDC performed extensive geotechnical evaluations, wetlands delineations, and also obtained a 1200-C permit in order for this project to be completed.
Significant hydraulic evaluations of Ferguson Creek were also required, as well as collaboration with Oregon’s DSL, DEQ, DFW and Hood River County Public Works.
